Just been to Sarika Waterfall on Saturday. It is a good place to go for some peace and tranquility. The walk to the waterfall is steep in some areas - have to be careful if you have young children with you. It's about 530 meters from the entrance to the first pool of the waterfall. The climb to the beginnings of the waterfall is definite must if you want to enjoy the exhilarating view of the national park from the top. Again, it is very steep in some places, be very careful; not advisable to have young children with you for this part of the climb. The pool at the top is great for a dip - there's fish in there, too. Go there early if you want the pool to yourself! We were there at about 8am and we were the first ones there. The crowd started coming in after 9am.
If you have family with you, especially young 'uns, I would recommend you to try the Narng Rong Waterfall. This one is more "family friendly" and getting to the waterfall is fairly easy. There's a paved road all the way to the chalet. You are not allowed to drive up there but walking is fairly easy and from the chalet, it is just a short climb down to pool.
It's very beautiful waterfall! I personally like waterfalls and mountains.... Yes, this is Thailand, the land of wonderful places indeed!
